The Journey of Self
Amidst the shadows and sunlight's embrace, I embark on the journey, seeking my place. In every twist and turn, a revelation unfolds, A tapestry of self, intricately enrolls. Through valleys of doubts and peaks of pride, I'll explore the depths where secrets reside. Unraveling layers of masks I've worn, Embracing the essence, no longer torn. In the wilderness of thoughts and dreams, I'll wander free, following life's streams. With each step taken, my heart will see, The soul's reflection, the truth in me.
Beyond the Horizon
Beyond the horizon, my spirit roams, On uncharted paths, my heart finds homes. With courage, I sail through storms untamed, Discovering self, forever changed. In the echoes of laughter and tears I've shed, I find the pieces of me, long misread. Through trials and triumphs, I reclaim, The essence of self, an eternal flame. Through deserts of doubt and oceans of grace, I'll seek the mirror where I'll find my face. The voyage within, a quest to be whole, Finding myself, the journey of my soul.
Canvas of Discovery
Upon a canvas of colors and hue, A portrait of self comes into view. With each stroke of courage and fear, I find the essence, the truth held dear. Amidst the chaos of life's design, I paint the tapestry of self, align. In the blending of shadows and light, The masterpiece of me, takes flight. Layer by layer, the images merge, The canvas of discovery, a sacred surge. With each stroke and brush of grace, I unveil the beauty of my own embrace.
Footprints of the Heart
In footprints left by days gone past, A journey of self, I'll hold steadfast. Through trials and scars that shaped my soul, I'll find redemption, embracing the whole. Among the whispers of the winds that sigh, A song of identity will amplify. In the symphony of life, my part I'll play, Finding myself, with each passing day. Through the labyrinth of emotions' tide, I'll navigate the maze, never to hide. In footprints of the heart, my essence thrives, Discovering self, where the soul derives.
Soul’s Odyssey
Through the chapters of my soul's odyssey, I'll sail uncharted waters, wild and free. In the vast expanse of life's open sea, I'll discover the truth that sets me free. With every verse and melody I weave, The symphony of self, I'll fully perceive. Amongst the stars, my dreams align, A constellation of self, forever mine. The compass of my heart will guide, On this journey of self, I'll not hide. Through the valleys and mountains I'll roam, Finding myself, my heart's true home.

“If” by Rudyard Kipling
If you can keep your head when all about you Are losing theirs and blaming it on you, If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you, But make allowance for their doubting too; If you can wait and not be tired by waiting, Or being lied about, don’t deal in lies, Or being hated, don’t give way to hating, And yet don’t look too good, nor talk too wise: If you can dream—and not make dreams your master; If you can think—and not make thoughts your aim; If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster And treat those two impostors just the same; If you can bear to hear the truth you’ve spoken Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools, Or watch the things you gave your life to, broken, And stoop and build ’em up with worn-out tools: If you can make one heap of all your winnings And risk it on one turn of pitch-and-toss, And lose, and start again at your beginnings And never breathe a word about your loss; If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew To serve your turn long after they are gone, And so hold on when there is nothing in you Except the Will which says to them: ‘Hold on!’ If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue, Or walk with Kings—nor lose the common touch, If neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you, If all men count with you, but none too much; If you can fill the unforgiving minute With sixty seconds’ worth of distance run, Yours is the Earth and everything that’s in it, And—which is more—you’ll be a Man, my son!
“Desiderata” by Max Ehrmann
Go placidly amid the noise and the haste, and remember what peace there may be in silence. As far as possible, without surrender, be on good terms with all persons. Speak your truth quietly and clearly; and listen to others, even to the dull and the ignorant; they too have their story. Avoid loud and aggressive persons; they are vexatious to the spirit. If you compare yourself with others, you may become vain or bitter, for always there will be greater and lesser persons than yourself. Enjoy your achievements as well as your plans. Keep interested in your career, however humble; it is a real possession in the changing fortunes of time. Exercise caution in your business affairs, for the world is full of trickery. But let this not blind you to what virtue there is; many persons strive for high ideals, and everywhere life is full of heroism. Be yourself. Especially do not feign affection. Neither be cynical about love, for in the face of all aridity and disenchantment, it is as perennial as the grass. Take kindly the counsel of the years, gracefully surrendering the things of youth. Nurture strength of spirit to shield you in sudden misfortune. But do not distress yourself with dark imaginings. Many fears are born of fatigue and loneliness. Beyond a wholesome discipline, be gentle with yourself. You are a child of the universe no less than the trees and the stars; you have a right to be here. And whether or not it is clear to you, no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should. Therefore be at peace with God, whatever you conceive Him to be. And whatever your labors and aspirations, in the noisy confusion of life, keep peace in your soul. With all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world. Be cheerful. Strive to be happy.
“The Summer Day” by Mary Oliver
Who made the world? Who made the swan, and the black bear? Who made the grasshopper? This grasshopper, I mean- the one who has flung herself out of the grass, the one who is eating sugar out of my hand, who is moving her jaws back and forth instead of up and down- who is gazing around with her enormous and complicated eyes. Now she lifts her pale forearms and thoroughly washes her face. Now she snaps her wings open, and floats away. I don't know exactly what a prayer is. I do know how to pay attention, how to fall down into the grass, how to kneel down in the grass, how to be idle and blessed, how to stroll through the fields, which is what I have been doing all day. Tell me, what else should I have done? Doesn't everything die at last, and too soon? Tell me, what is it you plan to do with your one wild and precious life?
